About Me

I have been involved in photography for over 30 years.
I grew up in a time when photography was a science that demanded an in depth understanding of the relationship between light, shutter speed, and their resulting harmony on the exposed film. I spent many hours in a darkroom trying to bring about results that expressed a moment of time in a way that brought enjoyment to the viewer.
I've worked with film up to 4X5 field camera's but have embraced the full frame digital world and it's methods.
Even though technology has changed the way my darkroom looks, the commitment to challenge and inspire people who look at my work still remains paramount.
Although color can splash excitement into prints, black and white photography tells the truth like nothing else.
I work with a limited amount of color photography but it hasn't found the cornerstone place in my heart since the days of using Cibachrome.
Black and white work dominates most of my photography, because I deeply connect with it on so many levels.
By replacing all the color inks in my printer with variable densities of carbon pigment I'm able to produce black and white prints that are ture to the craft and exhibit uncompromising quality where technology and traditional aesthetics become indistinguishable.
My work has been represented by fine galleries in Dallas, Kansas City, Santa Fe, and Topeka.
The camera Manufacturer Canon has awarded my photography done in the National Park System and has licensed my work for their purpose.
Some of my work is on permanent display in the "Art of Emprise Collection", a bank owed accumulation of investment art that is one of the finest corporate owned collections in the country.
Each photograph is signed on the front and back, numbered, and printed on mould made European museum grade paper. By doing all aspects of the photograph myself from image capture to final printing I can insure that the final product lives up to the exacting quality standards my customers have come to expect.
